BEE Financial Partners is a family-oriented business. Life keeps everyone busy, but an integral part in any financial strategy is to prepare for the unknown, especially for you and your loved ones.
Vicki and Karl have been married for over 30 years, have three grown children, two sons-in-law, and five grandchildren. They both enjoy walking, reading, gardening, traveling, and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
Most of us have had an “aha moment”—an experience that quietly shifts everything. I’ve had three. Each one changed how I live,
how I work, and why I’m so committed to helping others navigate life’s turning points with clarity.
My first moment happened in a Financial Advisor’s office.
My husband and I were there for a routine review—but
the advisor never once acknowledged me. He didn’t ask
for my input, my questions, or my concerns. I left that meeting with a pit in my stomach, wondering, What if something happened to Karl? Would I even know what to do?
That day changed how I saw the role of an advisor—and planted
a seed to become one who sees the whole person,
not just the numbers on a page.
My second moment happened at a funeral.
The man being honored was a neighbor, a husband, a father.
And his Financial Advisor—yes, his advisor—was asked to speak. Not because of money. But because of trust. Because he had walked with the family through seasons that had nothing
to do with markets or returns.
That was when I knew I wanted to do more than just manage spreadsheets. I wanted to build relationships that matter.
The third moment was sudden and heartbreaking.
A close family friend passed away in his 30s, leaving behind a wife and three young children. No savings. No plan. No safety net. Watching them try to navigate that loss without financial direction… that cemented my “why.”
Before financial planning, I worked as an engineer and then shifted into marketing—but something was always missing.
I wanted my work to feel personal. Purposeful. Real.
Now, I help individuals prepare for life’s transitions—job loss, retirement, caregiving, divorce, or the death
of a loved one—so they’re not left wondering
what to do when everything changes.
It’s why I’m here—to help you BEE financially prepared for today and the uncertainties of tomorrow.
Karl Joern
There was a time when life seemed to be lining up just right.
I had a strong career in the Energy Industry, my spouse
and I had just moved into what we thought would be our
long-term home, and our three incredible kids were thriving
in school and sports. We had our roadmap
and we were following it. But then, the perfect storm hit.
One challenge led to another—unfinished home renovations that cost twice what we planned, rising education expenses, the emotional and financial toll of a difficult legal process after our son was harmed during a team event,
and the responsibilities that came with caring for extended family. Eventually, I also lost my high-paying job.
What emerged wasn’t the future we envisioned—but it was the one that taught me the most. I experienced firsthand how quickly life can shift, and how even well-laid plans can be tested. More importantly, I learned that having a financial foundation in place makes all the difference
when those moments come.
That’s what drives me today. I help individuals and families prepare—not just for their ideal future, but for the unexpected realities life may bring. I offer financial guidance rooted in real experience, built on trust, clarity, and a deep respect
for what matters most.
Because financial planning isn’t just about money—it’s about protecting the life you’ve worked so hard to build.
